Your driver and meeting
- The driver picks you up at your hotel or any address in Yerevan at the time you choose.
- The day before, you get the driver’s name, photo, car, plate number and phone in WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Drivers speak English and Russian and help with practical things: photo stops, where to eat, how long to stay.
- The driver is not a guide. For the history and stories of the sites, add a licensed guide.
- If anything is wrong with the car, we send a replacement.
Good to know
Season: May to October: the Selim pass road may be closed in winter.
- Bring cash in Armenian drams for tickets, lunch and village markets: cards are not accepted everywhere.
- Monasteries are active churches: shoulders covered and quiet voices are appreciated.
- Wear comfortable shoes and take a warm layer: many sites are in the mountains and windy.
Questions about this trip
How much does the Grand South Loop: Khor Virap, Noravank, Tatev, Karahunj & Sevan trip cost?
AMD 105,000 per car in a sedan for 1–3 travellers, or AMD 130,000 in a minivan for 4–7. It is the price for the whole car, not per person, and it includes fuel, parking, hotel pickup and drop-off and bottled water.
How long does it take and when do we start?
Plan about 14 hours with all stops (600 km in total). You choose the pickup time when booking; many travellers start between 8:00 and 10:00.
Will the driver tell us about the history of the sites?
The driver helps with practical tips — where to stop, where to eat, how long to stay. Under Armenian tourism law, a guided tour with historical commentary is the job of a licensed guide: add one when booking for AMD 40,000.
Can we change the stops or stay longer?
Small changes on the way are fine. Only waiting beyond the planned time or an unplanned detour can cost extra, and the price is agreed with you first.
Does this trip run all year?
May to October: the Selim pass road may be closed in winter.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup. Later than that, you can move the trip to another date once, free of charge. We do not take deposits.
